As I have lived and gone through life, I have never been able to view myself as aging. But, aging, I am. My life experiences of being a mother, a caretaker of parrots, a breast cancer survivor, a business woman, a paralegal, and so much more, have shaped my conclusions on any given issue.
Over the years, and from my life experiences, I have landed firmly in the field of being a progressive. My biggest pet peeve is politicians that chose corporate whoring over the people, and much of what you will find in these posts relate to that.

I liked your take on the MichFest. I didn’t go (for a number of reasons) but I ate up every word Heart wrote about the festival.
How do I send email to you? I wanted you to see the article in the “health” section of todays online BBC news. They have much better health coverage than the U.S. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7039647.stm

At what point does one become a member of cronedom?
Mountain Sage
Mountain Sage, “Croning” used to occur after a woman reached menopause. Now a days croning can be as early as 45 (and sometimes younger) when a women realizes her age and experiences bring wisdom and acts on that wisdom. Some women still follow the menopause threashhold, some do not.
Well, I’ve been a crone for a good while….I had a hysterectomy at 33. So if menopause is the threshold, I’m beyond there.
As for wisdom…I’m working on that.

Greetings, Ladies! I just found your site and lovin’ it! As far as cronehood – I had always understood it to be after menopause. But for me, personally, It wasn’t until I turned 60 that I allowed myself the title of Crone. That was the right time for me! The same with having children – if I’d had children in my 20’s… oh, I don’t even want to think about it! LOL. I think part of growing old is learning to listen to what’s in you, not what’s being thrown AT you by outside influences.
Crone,
I, like you, am a Sarah Palin fan.
I came across your site through Michelle Malkin’s site.
My blog is the Tygrrrr Express.

If you feel it is of a high quality, please consider a link or blogroll exchange.
Also, I get a decent amount (not Malkin-sized!) of traffic, in case you have anything
you would like to promote.
Respectfully,

I sense many kindred spirits here. What a great blog.
