A quick morning update on the Georgia-Russian conflict.
It doesn’t look as if the cease-fire between Georgia and Russia is holding.
Russian tanks were heading deeper into Georgia Wednesday on a road that leads to the capital, Tbilisi, witnesses at Gori told CNN.
CNN’s Matthew Chance said the column was moving slowly in the direction of the capital.
Chance, on the road with the Russian column, said there were hundreds of men in personnel carriers. The column was moving at about 20-30kmh.
BJ points to a report that says there are no Russian tanks/troops in the town of Gori, but there is looting. I agree with BJ, the anarchy, looting and marauding makes sense.
Meanwhile, on US shores Bill O’Reilly is categorizing this as the beginning of WWIII. I guess the wingnuts need ‘mo violence for their rapture.
