This week we saw leading dems calling for Clinton to withdraw from the presidential race. But, why the hell should she? Doesn’t she, like anyone else that wants to run for president of the US, have the right to stay in the race? Like Pamela, I’m tired of people telling us who should and should not continue to run for president.
For over a year, we’ve had a media-driven race that knocked out the truly progressive potential nominees. Since last year, we witnessed a democratic race that was steeped in making history rather than on the issues. And, while I’ve tried to make it very clear that I’m neither a Hillary or an Obama supporter, and I will hold my nose while voting in November, I do not believe that anyone has the right to tell either of them to drop out, even through pictorial sybolism.
Sen. Hillary Clinton on Saturday rejected calls by supporters of rival candidate Barack Obama to quit the Democratic presidential race, and Obama said Clinton should remain in race “as long as she wants.”

And Obamaniacs should listen to their candidate.
“My attitude is that Senator Clinton can run as long as she wants. Her name is on the ballot. And she is a fierce and formidable competitor, and she obviously believes that she would make the best nominee and the best opponent,” he said. “I think that you know she should be able to compete and her supporters should be able to support her for as long as they are willing or able.”
Furthermore, I also don’t believe Al is the democratic saviour. In fact, I believe he is doing the most good where he is.
It is long past the time for both remaining candidates to ratchet up their rhetoric on their differences on policy, not each other.

Sen. Clinton can do whatever she deems necessary. This is her fight, so let her fight it. At the end of the day, I will suppot a Democrat, period. I admire and appreciate her tenacity. Lets be clear, republican rule has to end, and we have two able bodied individuals who can bring about the change we need.

This will ensure McCain wins in November.
