An evening of catching up on my blog reading. I know I should be doing this (reading other’s blogs) daily, and I try to do my best, but some days I can only get to a few. There is a lot being discussed out there, beside Craig.
Being that I missed posting anything on Women’s Equality Day, here are a couple of great posts. Gloria Feldt is more than a little miffed that the billion-dollar card insdustry that has created numerous card-sending days has little to nothing to celebrate WED. Instead, she finds cards celebrating — are you sitting down? — National Toilet Paper Day. Egalia has a little herstory, including an awesome TN woman.
While I’m reading Egalia’s feed, here is something else notable, the TN arm of FOF, Family Action of TN, urging their members to demand Lamarr Alexander vote against the Hate Crimes Bill.
AltHippo responds to Brad Blakeman of Freedom’s Watch.
Lambert discusses the possible end of ADVISE, a DHS data mining program that collected and used personally identifiable information. The coincidence that it is possibly ending just afte Abu Gonzales resigned is not lost.
via Health Care Renewal, I find that Maggie Mahar has her own blog, which is being added to my Bloglines acct and will be added to the blogroll shortly.
The Heretik on Bush’s opportunities.
Bean takes on the Heratige Foundation’s ridiculous report on poverty.
PSOTD notes that the United Mine Workers of America want the Crandall Canyon debacle investigated. Seems that Congress is moving pretty fast on getting this started.
Cernig on the plan for Iran.
MahaBarb has an insightful post on the hijacking of what American’s need, health care.
Enjoy!
