After today’s doctors appointment (drew blood for hormone tests and the doctor decided to take an extra couple of tubes of blood, for a total of 5, only 1 was the small sized tube), I’m a bit tired. So, instead of trying to catch up on the day’s news, I’m taking a stroll around blogtopia! (skippy), while many folks are traveling to Chicago.
As I spent a couple of posts on the ineffectual and insignificant DLC, egalia follows up on our DINO governor’s idea of health care, and links to Ezra who has a few choice words of his own.
While we’re at egalia’s, let her point out the misogynist Ohio State Rep. John Adams (R-Sidney) who wants women to get permission from a man to have an abortion. As I read this, all I could think of is my misogynist state rep Stacey Campfield introducing something similar, after introducing (and failing) a bill requiring death certificates for aborted fetuses this past session.
Fred likes to skirt the law. Funny thing about Fred “lawn order” Thompson, he’s lost/losing quite a bit of support with the inclusion of Spencer Abraham in his campaign. For some reason (probably because at some point I linked to righties dissing Fred) I am on the receiving end of an email of a particular rightie that is dead set on keeping Freddie out of the field. One of these days I’ll address that. For now, Kleinheider also points out that Freddie has paid off (?) quite a bit to Michael Toner’s law firm.
Reducing the need for abortion has been contentious and sometimes quite misguided and harmful, but perhaps that might be changing? Andrea explains.
